drift from one “Christian
method” of overcoming to
another, all the while unable
to overcome the sins that
beset them.  These Christians
are frustrated and ready to
give up trying to overcome
the same sinful behavior
repeatedly year after year.  
This is also why some
Christians give up and walk
away, and why, often times,
you will hear Christians say,
“It’s so hard to be a
Christian.”  Without a proper
understanding of God’s
teaching, it is difficult,
indeed impossible, to live for
God.  But, God did show us a
way!  It can be done!"
"In effect, Paul is saying, in
verse 4, that you were married to
the Law.  But now, since you
accepted Christ, the law is dead
to you and you are free to marry
another.  You are now
“married” to Christ.  Hopefully,
at some point, there will be an
unequivocal surrender to Christ
as Lord in your life.  This
“marriage” to Christ did not
take place when you were
baptized in water.  This
“marriage” took place when you
asked Christ into your heart of
hearts. Most Christians may not
remember when they accepted
Christ, but very few do not
remember where they were,
when they did!"

millions of Christians
today who are satisfied that
they are saved merely
because some preacher said
they were saved or they
were baptized, took Holy
Communion, joined a
church, or any number of
“works” we have been
discussing!  Remember,
God does not look at us per
se.  He looks at the
sacrifice we are placing our
eternal trust in."
